With this year's programme Strong & Unwavering: Women of Iran, WCA pays tribute to the brave women in Iran who are fighting for greater freedom. The documentary Seven Winters in Tehran provided a moving opening to the special themed programme yesterday. The docu tells the story of 19-year-old student Reyhaneh who stabs a man in self-defence, with dire consequences. Director Steffi Niederzoll and Reyhaneh's sister were present at the opening to answer questions from the audience.
The films Between Revolutions, Numb and Shayda complete the special themed programme and can be seen throughout the weekend.
