Futuro Paraíso

Documentary. To make room for the construction of a tourism project by the Cuban government and a Chinese company, 38 families are forced to move. In the absence of official information, the neighbourhood has been living in uncertainty for more than a decade.

Documentary. In the apartment buildings of a community project, built by the Cuban Revolution, its neighbours breed and trade with pigs in order to survive. Fernando tells the story of his childhood and adolescence in the projects, and that of his friend Dusniel, who trades said pigs, to accrue money so he can flee the country. The porcine abattoir slowly evolves into the neighbourhood, and the neighbourhood into the abattoir. Fernando wishes to escape as well.
