This summer, from 7 August onward you can enjoy four beautiful World Cinema Amsterdam open air films at various locations in Amsterdam. Take a look at the programme here.
Wednesday 7 August through Saturday 10 August four sparkling films from the World Cinema Amsterdam programme will be screened at Marie Heinekenplein. From Saturday 10 August, like in previous years, we pop up at the Vondelpark Open Air Theater. Think of it as a nice preview of the festival that is launched for the tenth time in Rialto and De Balie from 15 to 24 August. A true anniversary edition, so expect extra festivities.
Three of the four open air films are already confirmed: the cheerful Argentinian comedy Re loca, the Cuban science fiction El viaje extraordinario de Celeste García and the moving Indonesian family film Lightning Catching Adventure.

The films start around 9:30 PM, when the sun goes down. But do join us earlier in the evening. You can already enjoy some food and drinks.
World Cinema Open Air continues after the festival. From 3 to 6 September we will screen films at the On the Roof Film Festival on the roof of the VU Main Building.
