On Wednesday 3 July Amsterdam Roots Festival and WCA offer a stage to young female filmmakers in an evening-filling program with an in-depth talk show.
With our new partner we screen two films that tell in a humorous way about young women looking for their place in society and the sometimes raw reality they face: El futuro perfecto by Nele Wohlatz and Ouaga Girls by Theresa Traoré Dahlberg.

Amsterdam Roots is a performing arts festival around roots and cultural identity with a multidisciplinary program of music, circus, theater, film, dance, interviews and dialogue. The festival takes place from 2 to 10 July 2019 at multiple locations in Amsterdam. Rialto is the festival's new partner for the film programme.
