Closing: Award Ceremony WCA 2023

Which film will go home with the WCA Jury and Exchange Award? During the Awards Ceremony, both awards will be presented to the best competition film and the most talked-about film.

Closing: Award Ceremony WCA 2023

World Cinema Amsterdam will present three awards at the end of the festival: the World Cinema Jury Award, for the best competition film, the World Cinema Audience Award, for the highest rated film by the audience, and the World Cinema Exchange Award for the film that best challenges the conversation about what it means to be human.

The Audience Award will be announced on Monday 28 August after all votes have been counted, but the Jury and Exchange Award will be presented during a festive Award Ceremony on Saturday 26 August at Rialto De Pijp. The evening will be hosted by Paul Rigter.

Afterparty with DJ Guzz

After the Awards Ceremony, of course, the fun is not over yet! Take a seat at the screening of Inshallah a Boy or ask your questions to emerging film talent Sam Yazdanpanna at WCA Presents. Or enjoy a delicious drink in the Rialto Café and hit the dance floor. DJ Guzz will complete the Closing Party.
