Yomeddine

Yomeddine is Arabic for Judgment Day, the day when everyone will be treated as equals and each and every person will be judged by their actions, not their appearance. It is the day that the main characters in this story are looking forward to, knowing that their chances for equal treatment are nil in today's world. But one day it will be Yomeddine, which is a comforting thought.

Beshay has been living in an Egyptian leper colony all his life. When his wife dies, he decides to go searching for his father. With his few possessions, he embarks on an adventurous journey through the desert with his donkey Harby and orphan boy Obama. Unsurprisingly, they encounter many problems along the way, but hope, pride and trust help them overcome these obstacles. Thus the two friends travel across Egypt, looking for family and a new place where they can build a life of dignity.
