A meal from Sabor de Maria
In a charming building in Amsterdam Zuid you can find "Sabor de Maria", which translates to "the taste of Maria" in Portuguese. Here, Maria Luiza Dourado, originally from Brazil, has been cooking and selling delicious dishes from Brazilian cuisine for 16 years, which you can also taste during WCA this year! Every day you can choose from two different meals, one of which is always a veggie option.
The menu during the festival:
23 Aug | Oven chicken with pineapple, lime and sweet potato with white rice.
Vega: Parmigiana, aubergine with mozzarella, tomato sauce
24 Aug | Feijoada, black beans with pork.
Vega: Black beans with pumpkin, corn, feta cheese and coriander with white rice.
25 Aug | Spicy chopped meatballs, fried bananas and rice with black beans
Vega: Pasta alla Norma, penne with tomatoes, aubergine, basil e pecorino.
26 Aug | Rendang, with bean cucumber salad and white rice
Vega: Omelette with sweet and sour sauce
27 Aug | Kare Ajam curry with chicken
Vega: Fregula, pasta with sultanas, almonds lemon, beans and fresh herbs.
