The eleventh edition of World Cinema Amsterdam, the film festival that has been showing the best films from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean for over a decade, will take place from August 19 to 28, 2021. With screenings at two well-known and one new location: in addition to Rialto De Pijp and De Balie, you can also enjoy World Cinema Amsterdam this year at Rialto VU.
Lots of beautiful films are waiting for you
Just like previous editions, this year you can also count on a competition program and the recent crop of GO CUBA! In addition, WCA Presents returns this year with films by Dutch filmmakers with roots elsewhere in the world. In addition, there are a number of special premieres scheduled during this years edition!
Every year, cinema from a specific country or region is placed in a spotlight with a special focus programme. This year the focus is on films from Sub-Saharan Africa: Actual Africa.
The complete program will be announced in the coming weeks. Ticket sales start in August.
