Once again this year, Rialto De Pijp will be the main location of World Cinema Amsterdam. From Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 August, all films from the program can be seen in Rialto De Pijp. On Sunday 27 August, we will enjoy a Best of WCA program.
About Rialto De Pijp
In 1920, film enthusiast Anton Pierre du Mée started to realise his big dream: building his own cinema. One year later the cinema was ready: Rialto was born. Rialto has always been fond of non-Western cinema. Because not only in Europe and America, but everywhere in the world beautiful films are made.
Why at WCA?
Every year, besides all those beautiful European and American films, you also get to see the gems from Latin America, Asia and Africa. In short: non-Western cinema is in the spotlight all year round during World Cinema Amsterdam.
Accessibility
Rialto De Pijp is also accessible for wheelchair users thanks to a lift. Please note, however, that it is not possible to take a wheelchair into the auditorium of the Middenzaal.
